           ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SAFETY & QUALITY



The course aims: to increase the knowledge of occupational safety, environmental protection, and health protection measures across the business. Developing safe and attractive work environments with a focus on comfort and cooperation taking preventive measures to prevent short and long adverse health effects. The course learns how to comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards. Identifying health and safety standards in the working environment and maintaining waste management systems. The course will include training on Integrated Management System (Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015); Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018).

            WASTE MANAGEMENT COURSE


The aim of this course: is to enlighten the state of the art in technology, organizational and legislative developments and practices, and financial problems and profits of handling solid wastes. Focuses: The course describes the main features of the management of Solid Waste and of the technologies involved in the various treatment processes. Identify the stakeholders involved in Solid Waste Management planning and execution. Assess the benefits that can be generated from Solid Waste through the various management approaches. Perform basic calculations for landfills, composting, and (financial) planning of waste collection and recycling schemes.

         WASTE-TO-ENERGY COURSE


The aim of this course: is to provide information on waste combustion with energy recovery as well as the benefits of converting waste to energy, environmental regulations, and the clean air act.          WATER ECONOMICS


The aim of this course: is designed to introduce participants with a background in intermediate economics to water resources in general or in a specific country/project. It confers knowledge about the economic principles and economic tools applicable to water policy issues pertaining to water resource issues, the determinants of water demand, and water supply projects for storage and bulk conveyance. Participants will be qualified to apply the economic tools to specific problems in their counties, to derive policy proposals to solve water resource-related problems, to assess existing policy proposals and to assess the quality of related scientific research, and assess research gaps. Furthermore, participants will be qualified to judge the problems and the perspectives for the improvement of the status of national water policies and projects in their countries. Successful participants will be able to understand a given problem, identify a relevant economic model that fits the problem, correctly set up the analytic framework, successfully derive solutions, and clearly interpret the qualitative results of their quantitative analysis.           RESEARCH TO PUBLICATION


The aim of this course: is designed to introduce new research methodologies. The course is focused entirely on understanding of ethical principles and research approaches critically, independently, and creatively pursuing the research process. The course is addressing the elements that make up formal research including a variety of research methodologies, action planning, the data analysis using statistical tools. Overall, the course guides the learners through the entire process from designing a research study, for publication in an international journal. Interactive self-study course gives learners the skills necessary to conduct investigations and overcome the challenges associated with getting published in international journals. The course will include teaching new tools and models.
